Sean Valdivieso, CEO
Sean Valdivieso was born and raised in warm and sunny Southern California the perfect environment to nurture and develop an entrepreneurial spirit. His infectious smile and optimistic nature gave him the natural ability to attract people with similar qualities. Because recruiting good people is so important, this would be an important ingredient in his future success.
Mr. Valdivieso was a top student at Hesperia High School in Hesperia, California. After graduation he attended Santa Monica College where he studied Business Administration and was a core member of their tennis team.
Mr. Valdivieso worked his way through college with various part-time positions from banking to fashion, design and manufacturing. Then in 1996 he found his first true love when he was offered a sales position with LA Fitness. Within a few short weeks he was selling memberships like a seasoned veteran.
In 1996 his family realized a dream to move to Atlanta, Georgia to take advantage of the wide open spaces and low cost of living. After a couple of years in management positions with Bally’s, Australian Body Works and Gold’s Gym, his instinctive desire to own and operate lead him to open his own Gold’s Gym franchise location in Atlanta.
For the next several years Mr. Valdivieso continued to develop his management and leadership skills during his ownership. He soon initiated a non-profit organization called the Gold’s Gyms of Georgia (G3). This is where all the Gold’s Gym owners got together each month so they could coordinate their marketing strategies in the Atlanta Market. This was an important turning point for the advertising efforts of the entire group, as now they had much more power in their media buying.
In 2009 Mr. Valdivieso reinvented his career and focused his interests on direct mail marketing. He had seen the success that it had delivered to the health club industry and his competitive nature was driving him to find a better, and more cost effective way to help gym owners reach their target audience. That is when Giant Postcards was born.
